Abstract

The Act amends the existing Fishery Act of 1996 in section 10a and by adding a new section (10b). Section 10a concerns adjustment by the Greenland government of the fishing fleet capacity by laying down new rules and conditions (and exemption from these rules and conditions) regarding granting of licences for coastal fishing. Similarly, section 10b concerns the power of the government to lay down new rules regarding access to fishing for certain species.
