Abstract Full cream milk, semi-skimmed milk as well as skimmed-milk shall not be marketed as drinking milk unless: (a) they reach certain quality standards, including composition and treatment; (b) they meet certain requirements as to marketing (such as packaging requirements). Article 2 defines the different types of milk treatment allowed. Raw milk may be sold to the consumer as drinking milk only by the producer on his farm. Within six months from the entry into force of this Act, the Ministry for Health and the Ministry for Agricultural and Forestry Policies shall adopt Ministerial Decrees laying down the parameters concerning raw milk for human consumption, taking particular account of: (a) processing and composition requirements; (b) health provisions; (c) marketing requirements; (d) health inspections.
