Abstract The present Act establishes a pilot scheme for medicinal cannabis for the treatment of humans, from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2021. The Act does not apply to cannabis-containing medicinal products that are regulated under the provisions of the Medicines Act. Cannabis raw materials, cannabis intermediate products, and cannabis end products, as defined by this Act, are exempt from the Medicines Act and the Pharmacy Act, unless otherwise is specified.
