Abstract This Act is composed of 8 articles. Hunting licences will be issued to Jordanians and to foreign residents upon the payment of Jordanian Dinar (JOD) 20. The licences shall be valid for one year, shall bear the hunter’s photograph, and shall not be transferable (art. 2). The Minister may issue temporary licences, valid for 3 days, to foreign hunters who are not resident in Jordan upon the payment of JOD 20 (art. 3). The hunting of birds and wild animals is allowed only in hunting areas and during hunting seasons established by the Minister (art. 4). Hunting in the desert region east of the Hijazi railway line, except for the Azraq region and others specified by the Minister in the Official Gazette, may be allowed upon recommendation of the Hunting Committee (art. 5). Hunting of Ibex and Mountain Gazelle in the region located west of the Hijazi railway line shall be controlled (art. 6). Birds and wild animals may be hunted according to Article 4 (art. 7).
