Abstract This Act implements Council Directive 96/98/EC relative to construction and outfitting of vessels, also with regard to the prevention of marine pollution. The Minister shall appoint inspection authorities in accordance with Annex C of the Directive (art. 4). Articles 7 to 13 concern procedures for the decision-making of approval of vessels. Article 20 provides for a conformity certificate in the case inspection criteria cannot be applied to a ship, but the ship substantially meets requirements regarding equipment.
