Abstract

This Act, consisting of 37 articles in its last consolidated version, applies to: goods, intended as movable property including foodstuffs, chewing preparations other than tobacco, and drinks; foodstuffs, as referred to in Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety; technical products. The Act provides for indications related to handling, packaging, treatment, transport and processing of goods in the interests of public health, safety, fair trade; requirements and prohibitions to trade certain goods; inspection of goods.
