Abstract

This Act contains provisions to enhance implementation of regulations of the European Communities on a common fisheries policy in Sweden. The regulations mentioned are regulations containing measures for the management and protection of fish resources, structural measures for fisheries business, and regulations concerning the marketing of fish and fish products (sect. 1). The Government or an authority appointed in its place may issue regulations to implement this Act (sects. 2 and 3). An authority to be appointed by the Government under section 4 (secs 4 and 5) shall carry out control on the observation of regulations. Powers of the appointed authority are described in section 6. These powers shall also be granted to EC inspectors (sect. 7). Remaining provisions concern finance, appeals, and offences. (13 sections)
