Abstract The Act amends certain articles with regard to the introduction of scrapping subsidies for obsolete vessels and to the increasing subsidies for the purchase thereof. Fishing for species other than shrimps is allowed to up to 40% of the total purchase price. In addition, owners who have acquired vessels with 20% subsidy, may apply for an additional 20% of the subsidy. The increase of subsidies by a further 20% does not apply to the purchase of tools.
