Abstract The Act establishes that the maximum levels of chemical and biological contamination in foodstuffs (including alcoholic beverages)assigned to turnover or production of other foodstuffs, shall be those laid down in European Union legislation. The Minister of Health, in consultation with the Minister of Agriculture, shall specify other maximum levels of chemical and biological contamination, as well as sampling methods for official control of levels of contamination.
