Abstract This Act, which is composed of nine articles and one Annex, establishes requirements concerning high-activity sealed radioactive sources and orphan sources. The aim is to prevent exposure of workers and the public to ionizing radiation arising from such sources. The Act lays down also provisions concerning export from the territory of the Republic of Poland and transit though this territory of radioactive wastes and used nuclear fuel. The Annex specifies maximum levels of activity and radioactive concentration of radioactive isotopes.
