Abstract The Act, which is composed of five articles and one Annex, prohibits activities involving the use of nuclear materials or nuclear technologies to construct nuclear weapons or nuclear explosives. The President of the National Atomic Energy Agency coordinates commitments of the Republic of Poland concerning protection and control of nuclear materials and nuclear technologies. The Act specifies obligations managers of organizational units dealing with storage of radioactive wastes. The Annex specifies the new symbol of ionizing radiation.
