Abstract The Act partly amends Act No. 11, in particular the title – which now reads:- ”Act on taxation of halibut in marine fisheries”. Also, when fishing for deep-sea halibut and mackerel, a part of the authorized commercial fishing quota catch must be landed at the one production facilities in Greenland (art. 1, sect. 1). The tax fee for 1 kg of halibut is of DKK 2.5. This fee is adjusted quarterly in proportion to the relative prices for halibut and in relation to the oil price in Danish kroner. The fee of DKK 0.95/kg applies to mackerel caught with Greenlandic, Danish, Faroe or other fishing vessels (art. 3a). The Greenland government may grant exemption from taxation in cases of significant biological or commercial experiments and research.
