Abstract This Act lays down some amendments and addenda to Act on the protection of animals against cruelty. In particular the present Act establishes requirements for deratization (supplemented art. 5j), protection of dogs and cats during their reproduction (art. 7a), sale or handover of a dog or cat to a new breeder (art. 7b), horses, donkeys and their hybrids kept as farm animals (art. 12g), protection of apes (art. 14c), killing an animal for the use of its organs or tissues for scientific purposes (art. 18h).
