Abstract This Act lays down some amendments and addenda to the Act on batteries and accumulators pursuant to Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators and repealing Directive 91/157/EEC. In particular the present Act lays down obligations concerning reporting on waste batteries or accumulators (supplemented par. 3 and 4 to art. 15), obligations of entities placing batteries or accumulators on the market (amended Sec.5), obligations of retailers of lead-acid battery or lead-acid accumulators (amended Sec. 9), obligations of entities collecting waste batteries and waste accumulators (amended Sec. 10) and obligations of entities processing waste batteries and waste accumulators (amended Sec. 11).
