Abstract The present Act applies within the Autonomous Region of Åland and its associated waters. The Act prohibits the release of oil onto the ground or into water, as well as the handling or storage of oil in a way that increases the risk of oil damage. The Act specifies due diligence obligations for certain operators, including port owners and warehouse operators. The Act contains 20 Sections divided into the following Chapters: 1.
