Abstract

These Regulations prescribe measures to prevent the spreading of Ablyomma Variegatum tick affecting livestock. Suspected animals shall be reported to the Inspector appointed under section 3 of the Animals (Diseases and Importation) Act, Chap. 67:02. The Inspector shall serve a notice (Form a of the Schedule) on the occupier of the premises where Ablyomma Variegatum is suspected. Duties of the owner of infested premises are set out in regulation 5. Movement of animals from infested premises is restricted by regulation 6. Importation of animals into Trinidad and Tobago is restricted under regulation 9. Imported animals shall be accompanied by a health certificate from authorities of the country where the animal has been shipped from. (10 regulations)
