Abstract

This chapter of the Vermont Statutes concerns abandoned vessels. It provides that a person shall not abandon a vessel on public waters or immediately adjacent land; and that a person shall not knowingly abandon a petroleum-powered vessel or knowingly abandon a vessel that poses an imminent threat to navigation or to public health or safety. The chapter further provides for the responsibility for costs for the removal of such abandoned vessels.
