Abstract

The Strategic Framework for Disaster Risk Management for the Cayman Islands is a national policy with a sectoral approach. The purpose of the Strategic Framework is to provide a safe environment for the population from natural and man-made disasters by emphasizing prevention and mitigation as national priorities and by maintaining a high standard of preparedness for all hazards.
