The Regulations prohibit fishing in all no-take Marine Protected Areas. Regulations concern management measures for specified bottomfish, such as gear restrictions and at-sea observer coverage. They also concern Samoa coral reef ecosystem fisheries (including fishing for specified shark species) and designate a management area for a specific management regime for such fisheries. Management measures include restrictions of use of gear, compliance with the Fishery Ecosystem Plan (FEP) and related permitting.
