Abstract

This Subpart R of Part 622 of the Code of Federal Regulations provides rules for fishing for spiny lobster in the EEZ in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic off the coast of Florida. The Regulations set out requirements regarding permits, record keeping and reporting by dealers, closed areas, size limits, prohibited gear, etc. They also concern Annual catch limits (ACLs), annual catch targets (ACTs) and accountability measures (AMs), and adjustment of management measures by the Regional Administrator (RA).
