Inscribes the Historic Quarter of the Seaport City of Valparaíso, Chile, on the World Heritage List on the basis of cultural criterion (iii):Criterion (iii): Valparaíso is an exceptional testimony to the early phase of globalisation in the late 19th century, when it became the leading merchant port on the sea routes of the Pacific coast of South America.2. Encourages the State Party to continue its efforts to inventory and protect the infrastructure related to the historic functions of the harbour area and transport systems;3. Further encourages the State Party to develop conservation management plans in the entire maritime port area;4. Requests the State Party to clarify with more precision the norms and guidelines in areas that are adjacent to the protected zones, e.g. Plaza de Intendencia, Cementerio, and Plaza de San Francisco.
